Rachel Walker is a Brooklyn based artist.

Dreamlike, feminist, and intuitive, Walker's work challenges notions of art, craft, and female identity. Broadly, Walker's work spans painting, installation, textiles, and film. Her research interests include decorative textiles, hand-drawn animation techniques, and the visual language of women's handicrafts in feminist art practices.

After completing a BFA and MFA in the Midwest, Walker relocated to New York, where she maintains a studio. Her work has been featured in New American Paintings and the Chicago Underground Film Festival, and her textiles have appeared multiple times at New York Fashion Week. Recent exhibitions include a solo presentation at The Other Art Fair and the group exhibition Finding a Memory, curated by Erika B. Hess at Piano Craft Gallery in Boston, MA.
